I'm Tom, @Jacob O'Bryant has very kindly invited me to your group. Complete transparency i'm a bit of an outlier, not a newsletter author however have been developing a nifty little tool which I'd love to get your feedback on.
It's called Waxbite and it converts newsletters to audio so you can listen to them instead of read them.
It's intended as a win win. Your readers will have a new way to digest your content, authors have a new channel for people to discover your newsletter.
I'm at a very early and painful stage of growth, something i'm sure you are all familiar with when you started. However I just need to get it being used to either validate or scrap the idea all together.
As part of a growth tactic, I wondered if any of you would be keen to do a cross-promotion? I'd create an audio version of your newsletter and feature it as a guest issue, in return for a link to our site from your newsletter where your readers can listen to it. The guest issue section is permanently fixed at the centre of the home screen so very prominent.
If you have any other thoughts about organic growth or general feedback about the idea would be super helpful.
